For science to play God and change the natural order of things can prove most disastrous. Supernature is a story that illustrates this in an intriguing way. Much like the prologue, the plot sucks you in and doesn't let go.
A very secretive corporation called Gen X Tech used a potent chemical to alter and rapidly increase the evolution of animals and insects. Now they are growing exponentially, becoming larger, more intelligent and more dangerous. Hundreds of people are getting murdered, and thousands more injured as a result. Now, a small INVASION task force of police officers and FBI agents must put an end to the deadly outbreak before the human race becomes an endangered species on Earth, while avoiding worldwide hysteria.
Horror and suspense are consistent throughout to keep you reading, and the action really picks up early in the story. You truly get the feel for the danger and the urgency for the task force in such a dire situation. The characters are quite compelling, and the story is written in such great detail that you can easily imagining what is happening. To put it simply, if you enjoy a suspenseful sci-fi thriller, then Supernature is an excellent choice.
